The Last Librarian
As the riot gear garbed shadows,
Carted, uncaring, the People's Library away,
Did they spit on pages?
Did they perhaps break spines?
I'd like to think the shielded faces,
Contorted with ripping rage,
Knelt before a poet,
Paused over a poem.
