The devil is in the detail
The devil is in the clouds
Hidden there for centuries
We find him grinning now.
When we least imagine him
We see his face for real
For when we stop believing
The devil reappears.
The sky fills with his laughter
Bitter to our ears
The rain is slowly turning
Into the devil’s tears.
