Waste

You didn’t give us what we want

so we’ve wheeled out a fascist

to outline our discontent.

We’re drinking lager in the street,

giving the finger to parliament.

We sons of England, replete

with impotent fury, beetroot faced,

saluting a despot. Red crosses

aloft, grandad's lessons gone to waste.
